To transition to an IP-based broadcast infrastructure, RTS has fundamentally modernized its control room and broadcast environment – relying on KSC Core as its central control solution.
The decision was made for a system that operates independently of any manufacturer, can be flexibly integrated into existing structures, and reliably manages both SDI and IP-based signals. KSC Core handles the control of all audio, video, and control signals – via intuitive interfaces that were individually tailored to RTS's needs. Especially with the IP converter devices, the so-called "gateways," the internal SDI matrix and audio shuffling can be controlled and displayed by the KSC Core.
Particularly important for use in ongoing operations is the ability to flexibly configure production environments and switch between setups at any time. The integration of redundant systems and the automatic detection of conflicts are also part of the functionality.
With modules such as the KSC EventManager, the KSC CircuitManager and the graphical interface KSC GFXUnit, RTS now controls complex production processes with significantly less effort – with maximum operational reliability and overview of the system.
