New interface for the integration of panels from a wide range of manufacturers – with full logic and control capabilities.

With the KSC Open Controller Interface, a standardized interface is now available in the KSC Core that enables the connection of a wide variety of operating devices – regardless of the manufacturer.

The new architecture handles all control logic centrally within the system. The respective panel only handles display and input. This separation reduces integration effort, accelerates commissioning, and increases flexibility for future system adaptations.

In addition, the KSC Open Controller Interface supports the parallel use of multiple panels, enables interactions between different devices, and allows configuration changes even during operation – for example, when replacing or repurposing individual panels.

Application scenarios:

  • Control centers with distributed operator stations

  • Broadcast environments with mixed operation (e.g. Stream Deck + KSC Panels)

  • Projects with specific hardware requirements (e.g. industry, BOS)

Technical features:

  • Communication via WebSocket or device-specific .NET Assembly DLL

  • Device-specific display configuration

  • Central evaluation and logic assignment in the KSC Open Controller Interface

  • Supports standard protocols and customizations

  • Platform-independent configuration via graphical interface

Benefits for decision-makers:

  • Manufacturer independence in hardware selection

  • Future-proof architecture for hybrid systems

  • Simplified scaling and expansion of existing installations

  • Minimal integration effort – maximum flexibility
